the beautiful illustrated children's book
written by Helen Stratton-Would, illustrated by Vlad Gerasimov

Bertie Brown, like most other little boys, is fascinated by the moon. This calming bedtime story follows Bertie on the first of his night-time adventures. It  is perfect to unwind young minds at the end of the day, whilst gently stimulating their imaginations.

The unique illustrations were created by Vlad Gerasimov, a talented Russian artist known for his simple lines and shapes. The warmth of these illustrations promises to win the hearts of young and old alike.

Helen would like to dedicate this book to her son Bertie, and Vlad - to his daughter Alice.

Awe, this book is adorable and my son loves it! I bought it because of Vlad's drawings and it was well worth it! My son wants a skylight in his room now!

The book is really great! I haven't read it yet, as this is the New Year present for my girlfriend. I know, that she will be happy to have this gift. :)

I received the book today here in sunny Australia, no worse for the distance travelled. I am really impressed. There is so mucр detail in the artwork that can be talked about with kids. There are new things to see each time you open it. That is a great thing about the artwork. I like Bertie, good person well mannered and a true child of the natural world. Congratulations.

I was so excited when I got the book "who stole the moon?". The storyline and the illustrations are awesome! The story itself is different then any childrens book I've seen, You actually wait in anticipation to see "WHO STOLE THE MOON." My granddaugter is going to love it, I'm sure we will be reading it often.. LOL The book is of good quality and made very well. It should be a library book for all the kids to read! (its a keeper) Terri :)
David:
What a fantastic story. I love this book because my kids love it, they love the jolly story and the unique illustrations and also because it has a subtle theme running through it that Bertie is a polite little boy who doesn't want to offend anyone and in the end his politeness is rewarded when he is helped to understand what has happened to the moon. Delightful, a great present for the inquisitive little people in your life at any time of year Can't wait to see what Bertie will get up to next..
BlueCat:
Lovely story. The children of my classroom loved this book. We invented a story "Le voleur de mouchoirs" (The thief of tissues) which is inspired (a little far) by this book.
Jack C:
I love this book, the pictures are really well illustrated and the story itself is outstanding. I like the way Bertie Brown is a very polite boy that does not want to offend any of the creatures.

I love this book. I love the story, I love the characters but most of all I love the illustrations. It just brings everything to life. My little girl enjoys it so much that reading it has become a nightly ritual. Thank you for this wonderful work of art. It is perhaps your best work yet.

Mona H:
This is a brilliant book. Bertie is a wonderful character that all kids can relate to. Helen Stratton-Would has pitched the book to capture a child's imagination in a magical way. The book is beautifully illustrated (especialy the owl) and I really hope that the author and illustrator produce a series of books about Bertie's adventures.
Barbara Arneson:

Jill:
Vlad, I picked up your book yesterday from the post office! It is Gorgeous! Thank you so much for the inscription! I have, indeed, enjoyed reading it!!! Totally, over the moon, enjoyed it! It makes me Smile with delight! I Love the mole, I love the skunk, I love the porcupine. I love the owl. . Ohhh, I love them All! I love the little soft watercolor of the little boy on the inside title page. Of course, I adore the stars and sky. And the holey, cheesy moon, the footprints across the sky, the boy's toes in bed, the leaves around the porcupine which are Amazing - so beautiful. Your attention to detail is so satisfying that I come back again and again to admire each picture even more. As children will too. I love how this feels so well in my hand, the balance of it. And I like how my fingers slide over the shiny cover! I turn the pages slowly, linger, and smile. I am So pleased, Enchanted by it, thrilled to have a first edition, in your own language, printed in your country, with an inscription, of your first, most wondrous book! In fact, I think I shall wrap it and put it under the Christmas tree as a present to myself and reopen it on Christmas .. and sit and read with the wonderment of a kid. I am so glad to have it and so pleased that the internet exists so that this all could happen! You have a great gift and talent, but in these children's illustrations, there is an extra something. Whimsy, wonderment, charm, belief in imagination, all wrapped up in this amazing aesthetic. You balance simplicity and complexity with an amazing effect. It casts a spell. Very cool! If I were a children's book publisher, I'd be ecstatic about your work here. Bravo! Best Regards and Merry Christmas!!! Jill
