At defined intervals, it changes your desktop background with Vladstudio wallpapers downloaded in random order. Or, just double-click the tray icon to get new random wallpaper anytime!
When a new wallpaper is released, a small popup window will open with wallpaper preview and links to download and set to desktop, or view online.
Vladstudio Companion will add an icon to the taskbar tray, next to the clock. Simply right-click Companion icon and select an action!

And of course, for registered users Companion will download high-quality images automatically! (You'll need to enter e-mail and keycode during installation).
I installed Companion, what to do next?
Nothing! It will run in the background and will be automatically changing your wallpapers.
I have Vladstudio registration - will Companion recognize me?
Not automatically. Please go to Options, enter your e-mail and keycode, and click Sign In.
I liked that latest wallpaper from Companion, but it just changed. How to I get it back?
In menu, choose 'Select from Saved Images...' and locate the image you liked. You can also turn off 'Set random wallpaper every X hours' checkbox, and only do it manually when you'd like.
Sometimes I see 'Buy Poster / Gift Store' in menu, sometimes not. Why?
Posters and gift items are only available for some wallpapers, not for all.

How to use wallpaper clocks
If you do not yet have Chameleon Clock (version 5), download and install it
Double-click WCZ file - Chameleon Clock will 'install' it, and it will be added to the list of clocks
After that, you can delete downloaded WCZ file, or keep it somewhere in archive.
If necessary, open Chameleon Clock Options window, go to Skins tab, then Wallpaper Clock tab, and adjust wallpaper settings.

You should see clock installed to your screen after that.
To use wallpaper clocks, you will need <strong>Chameleon Clock</strong> from Softshape. You can download free trial installation file from <a href='http://www.softshape.com/download/cham5.exe'> www.softshape.com/download </a>
After Chameleon Clock has been installed, you should see nice skinned clock in your system tray.
Move WCZ file to Wallpapers folder of Chameleon Clock
Locate the Wallapers folder where Chameleon Clock has been installed (usually <strong>C:/Program Files/Chameleon Clock/Wallpapers</strong>). Move downloaded WCZ file to this folder.
Open Wallpaper Clock Options
To do so, <strong>right-click</strong> the system tray clock, choose Wallpaper Clock, then Wallpaper Clock Options...
Select and apply clocks design
The Options window will open. Select design from the list (for example 'Traveler') and hit Apply button.
<strong>Note</strong> - you may download one and the same design for different screens. Because of that, you may see one name twice or more in the list (for example 'Traveler' is listed twice). It is recommended that you apply the one that fits your screen better (for example, size: 1024x768, if you have 1024x768 monitor).

This photo project was created by Vladstudio, a website with unique artworks for your desktop, mobile phone and e-cards.
I live in Irkutsk, center of East Siberia, 60 km from lake Baikal, deepest in the world.
Irkutsk has a lot of wooden houses, once beautiful, now quickly degrading, being destroyed by time. I decided to drive around the city and nearest villages and take photos of most unusual houses, before they become history. I am not a professional photographer, but I wanted to do it anyway. This mini-site is the result of my journey. I hope you will enjoy the houses as much as I did!
To highlight warm texture of wood, I decided to use HDR (High dynamic range) technique. To create HDR photo, you need camera with auto exposure bracketing (AEB), such as my Canon 400D. Put camera on a tripod, open camera menu, set AEB to maximum (-2..+2 for Canon 400D). To avoid even small shaking, set 'Drive mode' to 'Self-timer / Remote control' and then take a photo with remote control. Camera will take 3 photos with different exposures ('normal', 'under', 'over'):
Next step is to generate HDR image from these 3 photos. I used program called Photomatix Pro. First step is generating...
...and second is tone mapping...
Often, HDR images look too 'strong', unrealistic. To avoid that, I loaded normally-exposed photo to Photoshop (layer 1), then added HDR image (layer 2), and set layer 2 opacity to 50-60%.
The final step was to add 'vintage' effect to photos. I learned it from wonderful Veerle blog and I also wrote how to automate this effect - <a href='http://www.vladstudio.com/photoshoptutorials/?35'>http://www.vladstudio.com/photoshoptutorials/?35</a> .
