If Companion for Mac is not working after you upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion...

{10 October 2012}

A little hint sent by a visitor - if Companion for Mac is not working after you upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion, delete the app AND its preferences ( ~/Library/Preferences/com.vladstudio.VSCompanion.plist ), then download it again and install. Thanks!

I did not find VSCompanion in prefrences. I did remove the previous version and re-downloaded and re-installed. Still not working. I see the icon appears for about 2 secs on the bar and then disappears. No VS process in the activity monitor also. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem and I am a registered user.When I install VSCompanion and delete its preferences and re-installed, it can worked, but when I restart the computer, the vscompanion icon appears on the bar, but the vscompanion can not sign in my account automatically. when you quit the vscompanion and restart it, you will find the same problem "the vscompanion icon appears on the bar about 2 secs and then disappears and quit, you must delete its preference and re-installed, you must repeat it again, I think the question is vscompanion could not sing in the users account automatically when you restart your computer.

I have enjoyed your Puzzle App for quite some time. I love it and it really helps me relax. Lately it will not load at all and if it does it crashes very quickly. What can I do?

when the box is checked software tries to access to some location starts with www.vpass.info and crashes.

I'm a registered user and it's my first time to install VSCompanion after a fresh install of Mountain Lion. It simply doesn't work. I don't need to uninstall or use any cleaner app as it IS my first time to install. The wallpapers are awesome but the app should be updated to work with ML and not employ some crappy workarounds.

OB: can you try removing the Companion app with AppCleaner? (Then re-install). Let me know if it helps. Also, if problem remains, please contact me using this website's contact form. Thanks.

ck - you may have to sign out in Companion preferences, then sign in again. If problem remains, try deleting it with AppCleaner and re-installing. Thanks!

I think the problem with the crashing after 2 sec is about the recent wallpaper list. There is a problem with the address that has been checked. I don't know what is that address but software crashes immediately after checking the related box in the preferences windows in case of second run.
